The Al-Masri family — eight members from Khan Younis — lost their home in 2024 and now share two rented rooms near the coast road. Ahmed, the father, worked in construction before the war; odd jobs now cover barely a third of the family's grocery needs. Their youngest, Layla, was born in a clinic running on generator power.
